As of 30 October 2026, we have found 314,721 companies using HubSpot, each with the evidence behind it. The typical one is a B2B company with a sales team: of those whose market we can read, 52% sell only to businesses, against 16% of all companies, and they are 15 times as likely to make “book a demo” the main button on their website.
- Our 314,721 counts company websites where HubSpot shows up. HubSpot reported 306,446 customers at 30 June 2026. They measure different things.
- Cybersecurity, HR tech and software companies are about 3 to 7 times as likely to use HubSpot as companies overall. Online shops, hotels and media companies are half as likely or less.
- Almost half also run Microsoft 365, about 1 in 12 host their website on HubSpot’s own CMS, and at least 3% also use Salesforce.
- Where we know the country, almost half are in the US, followed by the UK, Australia, Germany and Canada.
- Since 6 October 2026 our re-checks have found 0 new HubSpot customers on direct evidence, meaning HubSpot on the website or in DNS records, not only in a tag manager.
How many companies use HubSpot?
We have found HubSpot on 314,721 company websites, in the site’s own code, its tag manager or the company’s email settings. HubSpot reported 306,446 customers at 30 June 2026, up 14% on a year earlier. The two numbers don’t measure the same thing, and neither is a check on the other.
- We count websites, HubSpot counts customers. A company with two websites can appear twice here, and HubSpot counts customers its own way.
- HubSpot’s free tools install the same code. A company on the free CRM or free forms looks the same from outside as one on a paid plan, so it can be on this list.
- Some customers are invisible from outside. A sales team that uses HubSpot only as a CRM, with no HubSpot code on the website and no HubSpot email, leaves nothing for us to find.
| Evidence | Share of the list | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| HubSpot script on the website | 44.7% | The site loads HubSpot's tracking or forms code |
| SPF record | 31.5% | The company lets HubSpot send email from its domain |
| Other page code | 11.3% | HubSpot markup or cookies in the page |
| Google Tag Manager container | 9.2% | HubSpot appears only inside the site's tag manager |
| Preconnect hint | 3.2% | The page tells the browser to get ready to load HubSpot |
Which industries use HubSpot the most?
Professional services firms are the biggest group, about one in five. That mostly tells you there are a lot of professional services firms. The more useful number is how much more likely a company in each industry is to use HubSpot than companies in general.
Cybersecurity companies are about seven times as likely to use HubSpot as the average company, HR tech about six times and software about three times. Most of them sell to other businesses. At the other end, online shops are half as likely, and hotels and media companies less than half. If those are your buyers, our lists of companies using Klaviyo and companies using Shopify will find more of them.
| Industry | HubSpot customers | All companies | Compared with all companies |
|---|---|---|---|
| Professional services | 20.2% | 18.8% | about average |
| Healthcare and life sciences | 11.1% | 12.8% | about average |
| Marketing and sales tech | 10.4% | 4.1% | 2.5x |
| Ecommerce and retail | 9.6% | 19.9% | 50% less likely |
| Financial services and fintech | 8.0% | 4.4% | 1.8x |
| Software and SaaS | 7.9% | 2.8% | 2.8x |
| Education | 6.6% | 5.5% | 1.2x |
| Hospitality and travel | 4.9% | 12.4% | 60% less likely |
| Operations and logistics | 4.3% | 2.1% | 2.0x |
| Developer tools and infrastructure | 4.1% | 1.6% | 2.7x |
| Media and content | 3.5% | 12.0% | 70% less likely |
| Data and AI | 3.3% | 1.7% | 1.9x |
| Cybersecurity | 3.0% | 0.5% | 7x |
| HR and people tech | 2.3% | 0.4% | 6x |
Are HubSpot customers B2B companies?
Mostly, yes. Of the HubSpot customers whose market we can read from their website, 52% sell only to businesses and another 30% sell to both businesses and consumers. Across all companies it is 16% and 36%.
Of those whose sales approach we can classify, 84% sell through a sales team rather than online checkout or self-serve sign-up, against 43% of all companies. And of those whose business model we can read, 36% sell software by subscription (SaaS), against 8%. We can read the business model for about a quarter of the sample.
Their websites say the same thing. They ask visitors to talk to sales, publish customer stories and hire:
| On the website | HubSpot customers | All companies | Compared with all companies |
|---|---|---|---|
| “Book a demo” is the main button | 10.2% | 0.7% | 15x |
| Has case studies | 7.6% | 0.5% | about 14x |
| Has a careers page | 12.4% | 2.9% | 4x |
| Has a pricing page | 6.8% | 2.2% | 3x |
| Has a blog | 28.5% | 13.1% | 2.2x |
| Offers a free trial | 6.9% | 8.6% | 20% less likely |
They are slightly less likely than other companies to offer a free trial, and half as likely to make a trial their main button. Most of them want a conversation before a sale.
Where are HubSpot customers based?
Almost half of the HubSpot customers whose country we know are in the US. We know the country for about one company in seven so far, so treat these as shares of the known, not of the whole list.
| Country | Share of companies with a known country |
|---|---|
| United States | 46.3% |
| United Kingdom | 9.8% |
| Australia | 7.5% |
| Germany | 6.4% |
| Canada | 4.7% |
| Belgium | 2.7% |
| Netherlands | 2.4% |
| Spain | 2.3% |
| Switzerland | 2.2% |
| France | 2.2% |
We don’t show company size yet. Our employee estimates don’t pass our accuracy check, and a wrong size is worse than none.
What else do HubSpot customers use?
HubSpot customers run Microsoft 365 more than Google Workspace, 48% against 33%, almost three times the usual rate. About one in twelve also host their website on HubSpot’s own CMS. And LinkedIn’s advertising tag is on their sites at about 14 times the usual rate, which fits a B2B marketer.
| Software | Share of HubSpot customers | Compared with other companies |
|---|---|---|
W | 50.7% | 1.5x |
M | 48.0% | 2.8x |
G | 32.8% | 2.2x |
W | 9.1% | 8x |
H | 8.4% | HubSpot’s own |
A | 7.8% | about 15x |
L | 6.2% | about 14x |
S | 5.4% | 5x |
M | 5.3% | about 5x |
A | 4.4% | 6x |
Z | 3.7% | 6x |
S | 3.1% | about 10x |
S | 2.5% | 30% less likely |
S | 2.4% | 4x |
W | 2.5% | 70% less likely |
Two overlaps are worth a closer look if you sell into this market. At least 3.1% also use Salesforce, about ten times the usual rate. Salesforce’s CRM is invisible from outside, so the real overlap is higher; 3.1% is where we can see it. If you sell an integration between the two, or help companies move from one to the other, that overlap is your list, and so is our list of companies using Salesforce. And 1 in 20 also show Mailchimp, about five times the usual rate.
How does HubSpot compare with other marketing automation software?
Of the main marketing automation products, HubSpot is on the most company websites we track, ahead of Mailchimp and Klaviyo. It accounts for 30% of all our detections of the products below.
Which companies started using HubSpot recently?
Since 6 October 2026 our re-checks have found 0 new HubSpot customers on direct evidence. A company counts as new when HubSpot appears on a domain where an earlier check of its website and DNS records had not found it; a few will be sites we could only read properly for the first time.
This is not HubSpot’s sales rate. HubSpot’s customer count grew 14% in the year to June 2026, roughly 700 a week. We only see the companies whose website or DNS we happened to check both before and after they added HubSpot.
Two things we leave out, so the count means what it says. On 29 September our records show 95,881 “new” tools across every product in a single day, far more than any real day, so this count starts a week later. And in the week of 19 October, 31 of 42 apparent starts came only from Google Tag Manager containers, the evidence we trust least.
Who uses a HubSpot customer list?
- HubSpot partners and agencies looking for companies in the industries and countries they already serve.
- Apps and integrations for HubSpot, which need companies that already run it. The new customers each week are likely still setting up.
- Alternatives to HubSpot, for companies that have used it long enough to know what they would change.
- Anyone selling to B2B sales and marketing teams. Given who uses HubSpot, the list is a good proxy for companies that run a sales team.
Pro shows the full list with filters for industry, country, business model, website signals and how we found HubSpot, and emails you the new customers every week. It downloads up to 100,000 companies a month (1,000 during the 7-day free trial, no card needed); Business downloads up to 1,000,000.
The same list is available to AI agents. Add our MCP server to Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http agentdata https://mcp.useagentdata.com/mcpClaude Code asks you to sign in to your AgentData account. Then ask Claude “Which companies use HubSpot?”
How we built this list
We visit company websites and read their public DNS records. A company is on this list when we find at least one of these, listed from the strongest evidence to the weakest:
- HubSpot’s tracking or forms script,
js.hs-scripts.comorjs.hsforms.net, loaded by the site, or_hsq, HubSpot’s tracking queue, on the page - An SPF record that lets HubSpot’s mail servers send email for the company’s domain
- Other HubSpot code in the page, such as its forms markup or cookies
- HubSpot inside the site’s Google Tag Manager container (about 9% of the list)
- A preconnect hint telling the browser to load HubSpot (about 3%)
Each company keeps its evidence and the dates we first and last saw it. A Google Tag Manager hit can mean the company loads HubSpot through its own tag manager, or that a container shared by many sites on one platform put it there. Every row says which kind of evidence it has, and the new-customer counts on this page leave those hits out.
The industry, market, country and website figures come from a sample of 4,903 companies on this list, taken from 128 evenly spaced slices of our database on the date in the header, and are read from each company’s own website. “All companies” means the same measures across the same slices, or across a sample of every company profile we hold. The count at the top, the new customers and the comparison with other marketing automation software are live.
Every number on this page, except HubSpot’s own customer figure from its results for the second quarter of 2026, comes from our own database on the date shown.
